Why do I have Acne?

Is there anything to make these zits go away? I’ve tried everything! Why can’t I have clearer skin? when will it go away? Why now? How do I prevent acne? Why do I have acne? How long will these scars last? Is there a cure for acne? These zits make me look awful!
Most people who suffer from acne feel that they are alone in their suffering and have asked themselves some of these same questions.

“Other names that are often used to describe acne are pimples, zits, lesions, bumps, red spots, breakouts, blackheads, whiteheads, clogged pores and rash.”

Acne Vulgaris is the most frequently diagnosed and most common dermatological condition affecting adolescents worldwide so it’s not just you that feels this way. The reality is that acne is a very common and often chronic medical condition of the hair follicles that line the skin and their associated oil-producing glands. It occurs most commonly on the face, especially in the area known as the “T”zone, which includes the forehead, nose and chin.

Many factors affect who will get acne, at what age they will get acne, how severely the acne will effect them, and whether they will ever outgrow the acne. Ultimately, anyone can get acne at any age, from birth to old age. It is a skin condition that occurs in every gender, race, and ethnicity. The people who were spared acne in their teen years may one day wake up in their 30’s and 40’s to find a few pimples.

Most commonly though, acne is a product of teenage years, even if it lasts well beyond those years. Acne can consist of a single pimple or many lesions. It can look red or white, or even black. It can be itchy, painful or merely unsightly.

For Adults and teens alike who suffer from mild Vulgaris acne, products are not usually necessary, a few simple habit changes is all it usually takes to rid yourself of these annoying and sometimes painful acne spots. Once you understand the basic idea of what causes acne and follow the tips on how to avoid acne, it will give you a general idea of how to stop acne before it starts.

As every individual is different, it is very difficult to diagnose what treatment works for each person. For example, a simple diet change including Vitamins will work for some but not for others, or an acne product containing the Yellow Dock plant extract (which effectively helps against skin inflammation and infection) would work for some but not for others. The only way to know what stops acne for you is trial and error.

The important thing to remember is most cases of acne vulgaris can be cured so it is not hopeless. If you are patient in trying different home remedies for acne, then there is a good chance that you will stumble upon the right combination of ingredients that will work for you.

But, if you have an important meeting coming up or need to have clearer skin for the prom, you may want to invest in an acne product that is guaranteed to work quickly so you can spend less time worrying about your acne and more time living your life with healthy skin.

What is Acne

Before you can rid yourself of acne, be it facial acne or back acne, you must first know the basic facts about acne.
Acne is the commonly used name for pores clogged by sebum (whiteheads and blackheads), pimples, nodules or cysts that can appear on the face {T-Zone}, neck, shoulders, chest, and back. Acne is the commonly used name for pores clogged by sebum [also known as whiteheads and blackheads], pimples, nodules or cysts that can appear on the face, neck, shoulders, chest and back.

What is Teen Acne?

85 per cent of teens, from age 12 and upwards, develop acne. That is 17 million people in USA alone. Acne is one of the most common skin disorders. It may not be life threatening, but the development of acne can be devastating during adolescence, when it most frequently occurs. Acne develops when the hair follicles of your skin are blocked. Each follicle contains sebaceous glands that produce a fatty oil (sebum) that lubricates your hair and skin. When there is too much oil it becomes infected, pimples and blackheads are the outcome.

What is Adult Acne?

Adult acne affects 25% of all adult men and 50% of adult women at some time in their adult lives. People can develop unpleasant acne or have an acne recurrence in their 20s, 30s, 40s and beyond. It can be difficult to cope with no matter your age, and can cause depression and social anxiety in an adult the same way it can in a teen.

Wikipedia’s description of acne: “Acne is an inflammatory disease of the skin, caused by changes in the pilosebaceous units (skin structures consisting of a hair follicle and its associated sebaceous gland). Acne lesions are commonly referred to as pimples, spots or zits.”
